The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was started with a UG course (B.E. – CSE) in the academic year 2001-2002 with an intake of 60 students and PG course (ME-CSE) was included in the academic year 2013-2014 with an intake of 24 students. The CSE department is functioning with a total of 264 students.

In the year 2015, the CSE department got recognition for Research Center from Anna University, Chennai which enables many of the CCET staff members to pursue PhD degree. Currently there are 8 PhD scholars are undergoing PhD course.

The curriculum of Computer Science and Engineering is framed by Anna University which lays greater emphasis on design principles, System Software and designing of Database which facilitates the student to work with the concepts of Data mining, Big Data.The Computer Graphics and Networks are included in addition to design development of software packages which will equip the student to survey in the modern technical world.


To create computer science graduates who will be renowned as creative leaders in the digital field by the knowledge they gained, experienced with the support of life-long learning faculties and by exposing themselves in the society.


To establish a better realization between knowledge and the real world among the students by providing them with innovative, problem solving, leadership skills along with ethical responsibilities.
